Our Company Retreat
Like a fine tuned racer, the UVeye team runs year round on all cylinders, pushing the boundaries to innovate, deliver, and hit quotas. 2019 was a huge year with funding announcements, new partnerships, and plenty of travel, with plenty more activities in store for 2020. In hopes of recharging our batteries and preparing for the new year, the UVeye crew decided that it was time to take a break from the daily grind and hit the road for some well deserved R&R.
So we packed the figurative van, closed the office for two days, and headed north for some sun, water, good eats, and plenty of surprises.
Our first stop on our way to the north was for the most important meal of the day, grabbing a scrumptious breakfast with a stunning Galilee view.
With fuel in the tank, we continued the journey north, finally reaching our destination at the Banias stream. We cooled off in the water, played around, and of course, continued to eat with lunch and plenty of snacks to go around.
Any hopes for a chilled out getaway were dashed by the Operations team who took advantage of the kayaking to splash, dunk, and generally soak anyone who dared to pass by. With everyone totally and completely drenched, it was time to catch a kick off our shoes and catch a nap before the evening’s festivities began.
Our own little slice of paradise, the hotel was a sight for sore eyes with comfy rooms, swimming pools, green grass to lay out on, giving off the illusion that we were in for an easy evening.
Sleep was not to be though as the party kicked off with the open bar villa-style go go. While they say that what happens on the UVeye team getaway stays on the team getaway, we can tell you that good times were had, no teeth were lost, and everyone reports hazy yet fond memories of that night.
Thankfully, our star trip planners Nitzan and Yaara had us covered with a solid breakfast and their handy Hangover Kits, packed with plenty of water, aspirin, face wipes, and of course mints.
Refreshed, rehydrated, and full of good vibes, we set out for day two of our getaway, making the short trip over to the Kinneret for some fun in the sun. The rest of the day was spent tubing, riding in motorboats, getting massages, eating BBQ, enjoying the open bar, and generally having a good time.
As the sun began to set it was time for us to make the trek back home. While some attempted to catch up on missed hours of sleep from the night before, others played 20 questions as the Data Gathering team belted out travel songs.
Feeling a combination of exhaustion and recharged, the UVeye team finally reached home, filled with good food, memories, and maybe a tattoo or two, but who’s counting?
