TRANSFORMING VEHICLE INSPECTIONS WITH AI

Traditionally, damaged vehicles entering collision centers undergo a time-consuming manual inspection, often missing issues in hard-to-see places like the undercarriage. These centers also struggle with substantial backlogs, leading to prolonged waits for insurance negotiations and vehicle repairs.

By scanning vehicles as they pass through UVeye’s specially equipped tunnel, fitted with 360-degree cameras and sensors, mechanics are easily able to detect underlying damage without the need to lift the vehicle. Driven by computer vision and machine learning, this automated system delivers a more accurate and objective damage report, while reducing the time of manual inspections by over 30 minutes.

This report, like the one seen below, is a comprehensive summary of the damages the vehicle suffered from the accident. This can not only be given to the vehicle owner, it can also be provided to the customer’s insurance company, ensuring a fully transparent line of communication from the start.

PUTTING THE CUSTOMER FIRST

For the vehicle owner, oftentimes the aftermath of an accident is filled with uncertainty and confusion. UVeye disrupts this narrative by introducing full transparency in collision repairs. This approach provides car owners with immediate access to a comprehensive report, eliminating the mystery and starting an open dialogue between technicians and vehicle owners.

William Demaree, Director of Fixed Operations at Tom Wood, emphasizes the importance of transparency and speed in his dealerships: “A car owner arriving with an accident-damaged vehicle is not having their best day, and we want to quickly show them on a screen exactly where the damage is and what it will take to fix it. We already use UVeye in ten of our dealerships, and extending it to our collision center was a natural progression.”

UVeye’s AI technology goes beyond detecting damage; it adds an extra blanket of safety for customers, ensuring customers have real-time, transparent information on costs. setting a new standard for the automotive industry in terms of buying, selling, repairing, and monitoring vehicles.

“Automated inspection is transforming every aspect of the automotive industry, and we’re thrilled to collaborate with our esteemed partners at Tom Wood to once again break new ground,” said Amir Hever, CEO of UVeye. “An accident is stressful enough, so it’s crucial for the driver to see on a screen an objective report on the damage and expected costs. This type of AI inspection is becoming the norm for how cars are bought, sold, repaired, and monitored, and I’m proud of the way it’s helping shape our industry for the better.”
