We are looking for a Technical Trainer to join our Operations team at our NJ Office. As a Technical Trainer, you will deliver comprehensive technical training programs for UVeye Field Service Engineers, ranging from beginner to advanced levels. The role includes coordinating logistics for training sessions, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring smooth course delivery. As a Course Content Owner, you will develop and update training materials in collaboration with various teams to keep the content current with product advancements.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Deliver engaging technical training programs for Field Service Engineers and customer support teams, both in-person and virtually.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, including manuals, slides, and SOPs.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for advanced troubleshooting scenarios during training.
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive SOPs for all field operations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Lead onboarding, certification programs, and ongoing development for FSEs to ensure consistent skill growth.
  • Coordinate all training logistics, including scheduling, venues, equipment, and travel across multiple locations.
  • Partner with R&D, Product, and Operations teams to integrate new product updates and beta testing feedback into training programs.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and field performance through structured evaluations, metrics, and reporting.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize learning outcomes, operational workflows, and customer satisfaction.
  • Capture lessons learned from training and field operations, integrating insights into scalable best practices.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure training programs align with company goals and support product adoption.
  • Generate clear reports on program impact, skill development, and ROI to inform leadership and improve processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years a Technical Training Manager or equivalent role in a multi-disciplinary company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science) or a related field
  • Strong skills in developing SOP development, technical documentation and training materials
  • Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, organizational skills, and tasks management. 
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. 
  • An “independent” personnel who can lead projects from inception to completion.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical systems and equipment
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Great interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Time and task management.
  • Willing to travel >30% of the time.
  • Ability to transport and set up training equipment
  • Comfortable working in industrial/automotive environments
  • Flexibility for occasional extended travel for multi-day training sessions

Ideally, we’re looking for:

  • Experience with hardware system installation. 
  • Experience with startup companies. 
  • Experience in the Automotive industry.

Physical Requirements:

This role may involve on-site or field-based activities. Depending on the position, tasks may include extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking; working in and around vehicle service areas, rental facilities, dealerships, manufacturing sites, or warehouse environments; and performing occasional manual tasks such as lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs, bending, or reaching. The role may also require travel, working in varying environmental conditions, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Compensation:

UVeye provides salary ranges that comply with the Georgia State Law on salary transparency in job advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, skills, location, education, and operational needs. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits. The annual base salary range for this position is $85k – $100k.
